I was raised in Xenia, OH as a children’s pastor’s kid along with two brothers and two sisters. I am the second oldest and the oldest girl in the family. Growing up, and even now, the Gospel is a huge part of my life. I have been in church since I was born. I graduated from Xenia Community School system and then went on to Cedarville University, where I worked in the dining hall at the pizza and pasta station. I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Strategic Communication. I began working as the Director of the Cedarville Senior Center in November 2023.
I love working at the senior center. Each day, I am greeted with smiles and laughter. At Cedarville University, I learned about being a leader who served those they led. I have been able to practice and improve my leadership skills by being the director of the senior center. I had always been a follower, not a leader, so becoming the director was a big step for me. Fortunately, the seniors were so kind and patient with me when I began. They helped me become a good leader and to feel confident in my role as director. I can’t think of a better work environment than the Cedarville Senior Center.
